Bali’s expertise is in analyzing and conceptualizing Information Design and Interactive Navigational systems focusing on a user centric approach, as well as mapping out long term growth strategies in synchronization with business and engineering goals. Bali’s solution driven philosophy is powered by 19 years of industry experience in design agencies in New York City, Los Angeles and corporate high tech management here in Silicon Valley.

Bali has served as Sr. Art Director at Intuit's Centralized Engineering Division, UI Design and Usability Impresario for PeopleSoft's eBusiness Solutions Division, and a UI Design Director at the consulting firm Groundswell, specializing in long term Strategy and Research & Development of multi-level and multi-industry enterprise portal infrastructures.

Prior to entering the Internet and Software arenas, Bali was involved in Environmental Graphic Design in Los Angeles, designing information graphics, exhibition graphics and signage systems for Mount St. Helen’s visitor centers; Corporate Identity design in New York City and Editorial Design in Massachusetts.

Bali has a BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and has also studied product design and photography at the Basel School of Design in Switzerland. Bauhaus influenced design training.

In 1995, while studying Film at NYU's Graduate program, she was part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Interactive Telecommunications Program representing NYU at Interval Research Corporation's International Interaction Design Competition in Palo Alto, CA. Here, the team received the 'Original Idea' and 'User Involvement' awards for their Dialect Mirror, a product dealing with the synthesis of hardware and software design focused on voice recognition and dialects.

Bali’s article "User Interface Design - Navigating the Information Cyberstorm" published by LineZine.com has brought her professional recognition across the globe. She has taught Interactive design concepts at San Francisco’s Academy of Art College, lectured on design processes at the University of Nebraska’s Business School and today serves as a mentor to UI designers while simultaneously pursuing her passion for painting, photography, filmmaking and poetry.

Bauhaus (bou . hous)

A school of design established by Walter Gropius in Weimar in 1919, best known for its designs of objects based on functionalism and simplicity.

ORIGIN German, ‘house of architecture,’ from Bau ‘building’ + Haus ‘house.’
