Project
Create an easy to use and visually elegant (branded) Internet portal system which would allow for multiple vendor partnerships and co-branding spring-boarding from a preliminary prototype created through a disruptive R&D initiative meant to steer the company from ERP software to enterprise services on the Internet; utilize a dashboard springboard for user entry; allow for modular customization and scalability; work with multiple functional groups to gather requirements and evangelize the importance of UI design & Usability in the product development cycle. Reported to VP of Product Engineering/ Product Development. Collaborated with Product Marketing Communities (Benefits, Procurement, Travel & Expense, Life Events). Merchant Integration partnerships included Sabre & Commerce One. |

Challenge
Engineering needed the structural UI designs yesterday. Usability needed navigable design visualizations for testing. Marketing needed a tangible and aesthetically elegant prototype to establish a solid customer base. Upper management required a functionally elegant prototype based on reality to further business partnership potential. |

Results
A unified and intuitive User Interface design system with streamlined navigation and a distinct visual design brand which was immediately embraced by upper management. Design was used to convey future product offerings for the company. Asked by other product development teams to educate and guide their engineers in UI design best practices to foster greater collaboration and efficiency within the product development cycle. Asked also to present my design processes to a steering committee meeting of Senior level Management at PeopleSoft which included the General Manager of the company.
