Challenge
To design informational graphics for future physical displays in the abstract, since there were no buildings, our team was creating the entire visitor experience based on our Clients's requirements, geological and visual research, and our imaginations. The functional specifications needed to be forward thinking, since actual implementation wouldn't occur until the roads to the sites were actually built. This wouldn't happen for several years. Governmental standards required longevity, so the exhibit graphics needed to be easily informative, legible from great distances, beautiful (to create an inviting visitor experience), and highly durable to withstand excessive traffic flows without marring the integrity of the materials and design. |
