Diversity Residency Program, Lincoln, NE. Kavita was the Artist
in Residence, lecturing and sharing her art, films, poetry ('Evenings
Slumber ' and 'Still Life') and design experiences from the past
15 years as an Indian-American artist growing up in the US since
1971.

29 : "Totally Locus: Explorations
& Healing" part of the 'Sa-I-Gu'
(4-29) event at LOCUS 1640 Post, SF, CA. Artists from around the
US came together to share their spoken word art dealing with relationships
between the Asian and African American communities remembering the
1992 Los Angeles Riots. Kavita read her poem 'The Conscientious
Reporter' as an opener for this energized evening of Spoken word
and Hip Hop.
