Founded in 1993, Urban Peacock is a Design Consulting Studio specializing in helping you to bring order to chaos through elegant and simple, innovative solutions. Conceptual adventures. Independent Films. Design Communication Solutions. Urban Peacock is also actively involved in promoting creative thinking and cultural discovery through design, film and art within our communities.

O V E R V I E W :
Kavita Bali, Founder & Creative Director of Silicon Valley Design Studio, Urban Peacock, brings to you 19 years of solid industry experience with proven design methodologies. Designing for the Internet since 1995, Bali is an Expert in UI Design, Information Architecture, Navigation Design and Visual Systems for Complex Applications. Specialty in Enterprise, Finance & Community.

Classically trained in Design with a heavy bauhaus influence, Bali received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 1987. In 1986, she attended a wintersession at the Basel School of Design in Switzerland during which time she and her classmates also explored the museums of Paris, Florence and trekked along the outskirts of Germany. Bali later spent two years in the M.F.A Film Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts (1993-1995) before jumping out into the wild west of the Internet over a decade ago, where she started to create navigational journeys for real people.

Today, Kavita continues along this path, relishing the intellectually collaborative environment and innovative challenges associated with the pioneering terrain of the Internet and new media.
