Urban
Peacock Philosophy
Hi,
welcome to our evolving site, a virtual world created for your
imagination to feast upon. We have fellow Urban Peacocks from
around the world who check in regularly to catch the latest on
how we can utilize creativity, design, and humanity in our daily
lives to better understand each other and our journey here.
What
Urban Peacocks are Made of:
We
welcome you to our playground for conceptual adventurers consisting
of individuals and families, designers, artists, poets, philosophers,
research scientists, educators, inter-generational, world affair
and public policy experts as well as the thoughtful, independent
filmmakers of our times.
If
you thrive on deciphering conceptual labyrinths, visual puzzles
and life's riddles. If you enjoy simple truths and have
a thirst for the arts, knowledge and understanding. If you are a
peaceful humanitarian and enjoy healthy, multi-perspective debates.
If you strive to push the limits of innovative thinking in a way
to help people understand information or the world around us through
your own or shared creative vocabularies.
If
you find peace, wisdom and power from nature and can always see
the good in people around you. If you believe beauty
comes from within and is something to be nurtured in society. If
you find helping others comes naturally and causes your spirit to
dance. If you believe you can hear music with your eyes and paint
with sound. If you don't mind stumbling before a huge crowd and
can find solace in the touches of humor sprinkled throughout our
lives. If you prefer human drama over reality tv, quality over quantity,
personal truths over the latest trends. If you thrive on adventure,
simplicity and truth.
If
you are an independent thinker. If you often find yourself
following a different path from the crowds around you, then you
have described our Peacock Community of Urban Peacocks from around
the world :) Welcome and enjoy your visit.

Philosophy:
Small:
Our
philosophy is to keep the crew small, to allow for maximum speed
& mobility in production, costs to a minimum and to maintain
a unified articulation of the cinematic vision.
Multi-ethnic:
We
believe in multi-ethnic crews that share their individual cultural
perspectives to further the reality of the stories created.
Innovative:
We
know the rules and aren't afraid to cross camera lines and experiment
in new narrative techniques of storytelling in the name of artistic
adventure.
Diplomatic:
The
key to our team is a shared passion for the story being told; respect
for all crew members; patience, integrity and a desire to create
something together that will stop people and help us think or feel
in a new way about the fragility of life and the power of truth.
We maintain an alcohol and drugfree set, however caffeine is our
friend.
---------------------------------------------------------
Since
2000, when we started our online presence, the nature of our content
has evolved in some wonderful ways. We are now in the process of
updating our User Interface Design system to account for the growth
and also to add more resources that would be of interest to our
Peacock Community. The new design shall continue to evolve throughout
the years.
Since
the community aspect of this site is a pet project, time is often
the deciding factor in how often we are able to update our content.
Sometimes we update the site everyday, other times it may be a week
in-between, so check back often to catch the latest. We have creative
and thoughtful individuals from across the globe that visit us regularly.
In our own small way we are building our dream of a virtual United
Nations, defining ourselves through the universal nature of creativity.
If
you have an event that you feel should be included and is not, please
email us (kavita@urbanpeacock.com)
or
just drop us a line to let us know what you think of the site and
any suggestions. We welcome your insights in building this Peacock
community. Thanks for visiting. We hope you've enjoyed your visit.
